The 15cm Mcusta Zanmai Supreme Ripple petty knife is a real all-rounder. It is ideal for cutting fruit and vegetables, paring meat and cutting smaller or medium sized pieces of meat.
Its small size gives you complete control over the tip and edge of the blade.
Petty knives are very similar to the common western paring or utility knives. While there is no hard rule about where a petty and paring knife diverge or what application each is most adept at, pettys are often considered ideal for small and delicate tasks on a cutting board while paring knives are better employed in hand.

The Mcusta Zanmai Supreme Ripple knives are made from 33 layers of Damascus steel and feature a very tough high carbon VG-10 steel core inside.
The completely mirror-polished, very sharp and robust blades of the line have a damask grain and a hand-applied rippling technique in the upper area.
The unique Ripple pattern is originally created by the Zanmai technology, which you may never find it in the world. The design represents ocean and shore line. It's associated with a Japanese traditional picture in the Edo era.
Like in every Mcusta Zanmai knife, the edge which can reach 9°, is finished in Zanmai's perfect Hamaguri V-Cut form, making it incredibly sharp and the ideal structure to cut food effortlessly.
The high-quality octagonal handle (Hokkaku shape) is made of red-black Pakka wood, it has an antibacterial ferrule made of stainless steel and a stainless steel pin surrounded by abalone (snail shell).
Visually, a real eye-catcher, from Seki Japan.
