The thin blade of Hybrid Splash 18 cm Santoku knife, typical for all Mcusta Zanmai knives, slices through vegetables, meat, and fish with ease and almost without any applied pressure to the knife.
Like with all Santoku-shaped knives, it performs all the tasks of a classic chef knife, from slicing, dicing, and chopping to making rocking cuts through herbs.
Yet it also offers the quick, agile performance and high degree of control found only on knives of the finest quality.
ザンマイ ハイブリッド スプラッシュ
Hybrid Splash knives collection is another beautiful kitchen knife series from Zanmai Mcusta, cut out from the beams of Mcusta's lasers and then sharpened to a razor-edge sharpness by hand.
It got its name (Splash) due to the very pronounced Damascus pattern on the blade, making every single blade a unique piece of art, so every knife is a great choice for all the Damascus lovers. Hybrid comes from the merge of of the oriental design and the western pattern.
All Mcusta Zanmai Hybrid Splash knives are made from 33 layers of Damascus steel and feature a very tough high carbon VG-10 steel core inside.
Like in every Mcusta Zanmai knife, the edge which can reach 9°, is finished in Zanmai's perfect Hamaguri V-Cut form, making it incredibly sharp and the ideal structure to cut food effortlessly.
Hybrid Splash features a more simplistic, but very ergonomic handle, made of non-slip black pakka wood.
Small textures on the hexagon-shaped handle prevent hands from slipping, even with wet hands.
A simple, yet aesthetic luminescent pin holds the full-tang handle securely in place, while the stainless bolster attaches perfectly to the handle, featuring a decorative red spacer.
Knives from this series come packed in a gift box.
